How about this theory........The discussion between Ben and Charles Widmore in the last episode has sparked a new theory that Ben and Charles have a bet, just like the Duke brothers in Trading Places.  It's a long shot, but it does bring to light some interesting points:

1. Ben and Charles have known each other for a long time and they both know about the island.

2.  Has Ben created some way to hide the island?  Or is it some natural occurance.....This is a big question.

3.  Who will win and will Ben kill Penny?

Claire's baby Aaron, revealed as Kate's son in the latest episode, is not one of the oceanic six.  Why?  Becuase he was born on the island and you need room in the remaining count for Sun, Jin and Sawyer.

My question - What are they all lying for?  what are they protecting?  And is it Sawyer or Locke the 6th survior?

These are some crazy theoris about the TV show "Lost" that I found on listafterlist.com.  Anyone have one that isn't listed?
 
Purgatory Theory - The island is purgatory and you have to battle your sins and overcome your fears before you can leave/die. 
 
Compound Name Theory - The character Alvar Hanso, CEO of the Hanso Foundation, is named after two actual scientists Hannes Alven and Hans Oersted, who predicted Earth would endure an electromagnetic catastrophe.

Has anyone else heard this theory?  It is pretty interesting, but a little thin: 

• Ben is suffering from a tumor on the 23rd vertebrate
• There is a reference to the 23rd Psalm
• Gate number 23 is where the survivors left from the Sydney airport
• The 23rd is the expiration date on the Apollo candy bar

Now comes the fun part....  2 divided by 3 equal .666, which is the sign of the devil.  Is the island really Hell?

 I know this is a stretch, but a decent theory.  Any thoughts?

I cam across this post about some of the best theories posted on the Lost Pop Candy blog on USA today.  Some of these are pretty good.  Here were the top 6:

1. "Walt was a manifestation of Jacob, telling Locke to pick up where Ben has failed."

The show and the writers tried to show us a glimpse of the future in last year's season finale.  Does this put a damper on all the purgatory theories?  Personally, I still think purgatory is the best theory for the Lost crew.  And the added information from the helicopter pilot just makes this theory seem a little bit stronger.  [...] read more
