Will the strike ever end

Will the writers strike ever end?  American Gladiators, men vs women 1 vs 100, power of 10 with Drew Carey and rumors about who will be on the next season of Dancing with the Stars.  Didn't this show just end about two weeks ago?

I think the producers of some comedy shows should have fans submit episodes.  It would get fresh content in the door and give normal people the chance to shine (or fail), but it would give them a shot.

I know, it would be like crossing the picket line if the writer was ever picked up, but there has to be some way around this.  Someone has to buckle soon.  The writers deserve more money and I want to make sure my DVD cost does not go up five bucks.  Someone has to loose some money - $10 says it will be the consumer who gets it in the end!
