Snubbed for Best Drama Series!
LOST was nominated for six Emmy awards this year, including two in the outstanding supporting actor in a drama series category: previous nominee Terry O'Quinn as Locke, and Michael Emerson as Ben. They will be competing against William Shatner (Boston Legal), T.R. Knight (Grey's Anatomy), Masi Oka (Heroes), and Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos).
Unfortunately, for the second consecutive year, the show was snubbed in the outstanding drama series categroy, which the show won in its debut season. The shows nominated for the best drama category this year are Boston Legal, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, House, and The Sopranos.
LOST's four other nominations were in outstanding sound editing for a series ("A Tale of Two Cities"), outstanding single-camera picture editing for a drama series ("Through the Looking Glass"), outstanding directing for a drama series (Jack Bender, "Through the Looking Glass"), and outstanding writing for a drama series (Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof, "Through the Looking Glass").
The Emmy awards will be handed out on Sunday, September 16. For a full list of the Emmy nominees, go to: http://www.emmys.tv/awards/2007pt/nominations.php?action=search_db
